Soundwaves Presents - Bonnie Barnett Ensemble

Vocalist Bonnie Barnett was joined by Dan Clucas (trumpet), Richard Wood (woodwinds), Hal Onserud (bass), and Garth Powell (drums) for an evening of improvised music, April 19, 2017. Her performance incorporated texts by Los Angeles poet Dorothea Grossman and Dadaists Hans Arp, Hugo Ball, Emmy Hennings, and Richard Huelsenbeck. Guitarist and video editor Scott Heustis has made a found-footage collage to accompany the performance. This concert was part of the Soundwaves concert series at the Santa Monica Public Library.
